Perpetual Pilgrim from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia
The National Eucharistic Revival is sponsoring a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage that will process with Jesus in the Eucharist across the United States of America, tracing the shape of a cross over our country. A group of Perpetual Pilgrims, young people ages 19–29, have been chosen to accompany the Blessed Sacrament from May 17 to July 21, 2024, traveling a combined distance of 6,500 miles and stopping at many parishes and holy sites along their route.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia rejoices to have two of our own, Sarah Cahill and Amayrani Higueldo-Sanchez, serving as Perpetual Pilgrims.
Sarah Cahill, age 26, of St. Agatha-St. James Parish, Philadelphia, will travel along the entire Marian Route of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. from Minnesota through Wisconsin and Iowa and finally, Indianapolis, IN (see map above). As a Perpetual Pilgrim Sarah will spend her time on pilgrimage adoring Jesus, giving witness to her faith, and carrying with her all prayer intentions entrusted to her care. She will be commissioned as a Perpetual Pilgrim by Archbishop Pérez on April 17, 2024.
Support Sarah! As part of her service, Sarah must fundraise $3,000-5,000 to provide her with a small stipend, covering the cost of her travel gear and personal expenses since Perpetual Pilgrims will not be able to work for the 2 months while on pilgrimage. The National Pilgrimage in Philadelphia
